Permanent vinyl takes 72 hours to cure so you do not run the risk of having an issue getting it off the glass when you are done etching. I use Cricut Permanent Vinyl or Oracal 651 Outdoor vinyl. If you do not have a Cricut vinyl cutting machine, you can purchase premade stencils off of Amazon.

    Use your Cricut to cut it. Weed in reverse (take out the letters or images you want to see on your etched glass. Using the transfer tape, transfer the design to your glass tile. Apply a layer of etching cream. Allow to sit and work 3 to 5 minutes. Rinse with warm water making sure there is no cream left behind.

    That depends! You can use 651 on wooden signs with great success but you can also use 631 or removable vinyl if the sign will be for indoor use only. Think of the application of your project and where it will likely be displayed when you are choosing your vinyl.
