The YES Program gives the opportunity to active and accomplished students, with significant achievements, both academic and non-academic, and coming from families with economic limitations. The YES Program gives you an opportunity to develop your personal skills, as well as your leadership skill.
How do you get selected for YES program?
There are multiple rounds to the YES application and selection process. All applicants are required to take an English proficiency exam, write a proctored essay, complete a YES program application, and participate in group and individual in-person interviews. All finalists are selected on the basis of merit.

How are students selected for the YES program?
These students are then short-listed and subjected to intense interviews before the final selection is made. While the YES program commences in the U.S., the selection process starts in November of the preceding year to provide IRIS with adequate time to seek placements, as well as identify host families for the incoming students.
How does Yes work in each country?
Each country participating in the YES program has an in-country office with at least one permanent employee in each YES country. These staff, who are the main contacts for the parents of YES students, in turn communicate with all organizations placing YES students in host communities.
Where do Yes participants get placed?
YES participants are placed in volunteer host family homes and into host schools in the United States by established and reputable placement organizations that have competitively been awarded grants by the U.S. Department of State to implement the placement portion of the YES program.
