What is VMC demonstration?
During the VMC demonstration, the pilot applies rudder pressure to maintain directional control until full rudder is applied. The loss of control occurs under conditions of sideslip. VMC is not determined under conditions of zero-sideslip during aircraft certification; therefore, it is not part of a VMC demonstration.
How is Vyse determined?
Best single-engine rate of climb airspeed (Vyse) is designated by a blue radial line on most airspeed indicators. It delivers the greatest gain in altitude per unit of time, with the airplane in the following configuration: Inoperative engine propeller in the minimum drag position (feathered).

How do you calculate VMC?
VMC is determined with the critical engine propeller windmilling in the takeoff position, unless the engine is equipped with an autofeather system. Figure 12-21.

Why is Vyse important?
Vyse is “best-rate-of-climb airspeed, single-engine.” It is also the airspeed at which the airplane is able to maintain level flight with the least power and gain the most altitude per unit of time with an inoperative engine. Therefore if you cannot maintain at least level flight at Vyse, you darn sure cannot at Vxse.
Is multi engine checkride hard?
