The goals of The Healthy Mind Platter are to draw attention to a spectrum of essential mental activities and to encourage people to take steps toward achieving balanced mental health by including each of those activities in their daily routine, even if only for a few moments.
What is a mind platter?
Mind Platter is a compilation of reflections on life through the eyes of an educator, student and human who experienced most of life in silence. Mind Platter is not about the words that are in it, but about what the reader makes of them.
What makes a healthy mind?
Being aware of thoughts and emotions, and how they affect us. Recognising and having healthy ways to cope with stressors when they arise. Having strong relationships with people who are important in our lives. Regularly doing things that are meaningful and reflective of our values (e.g. fun, health or community)
