What is the difference between Derwent watercolor pencils and Inktense?
Both pencils are highly blendable but the formulation of each pencil varies. The softer formulation of Watercolour makes for easy transfer to paper, whilst Inktense has a harder, waxier laydown. Inktense cores are also slightly thicker and feel chunkier to hold.
Are Inktense pencils good?
Derwent Inktense pencils are our best watercolour pencil ever! You can use them dry but mix them with water and WOW! the colour turns into vibrant ink. Once it’s dry, the colour is fixed and you can work over the top of it, and, because it is permanent it’s great for using on fabric such as silk and cotton!

Can you erase Inktense pencils?
You can’t lift Inktense. All you can do is cover it with something opaque or change what’s around it to make it look good. So treat anything you do with Derwent Inktense as if you’re inking, and you’ll be fine. When dry, they do erase about as well as other colored pencils.
Are wood pencils better than mechanical pencils?
mechanical pencils are 10 times better than wooden pencils. MECHANICAL PENCILS ARE SO COOL AND AWESOME AND COOL TO USE!!!! ALWAYS USE MECHANICAL PENCILS WHEN YOU HAVE TO TAKE A TEST BECAUSE WHEN YOU USE WOODEN PENCILS YOU HAVE TO KEEP ON GETTING UP TO SHARPEN YOUR PENCIL.
