With just over 3,500 hours in Arma III, I do consider it worth the price. Even 7 years later. While it is true that the game is unbalanced with the bulk of the work being handled by just a couple of threads, it still functions well enough to be playable. The game is very playable without any of the DLCs.

Is ARMA 3 ever going to use all cores?
Arma 3 supports only 2 CPU Cores. Even with a top CPU like my Intel 4770k with 4,0 Ghz you cant reach more than 30 Fps in a normal Mission, because the AI needs so mutch power. Please support more than 2 Cores this would be awesome and we all can play the game properly.
