Are Thomson stems good?
For a mid-priced stem, they’re fine, there are lighter ones, and there are probably stronger ones about, but they mostly won’t be the thing that breaks on your bike, they look good for a looong time, and they have that “bling Thomson” thing going on. my son has a ‘Thompson Elite’ and it looks great !

How much does a Thomson stem weight?

The American-made stem is available in lengths from 70 to 130 millimeters, which weight between 147 and 184 grams. A 173-gram, 50mm model for freeride and DH use is also available. All sizes are come in zero-rise, and the 90 though 130mm sizes are also available in 10-degree rise.

How do I know my bike headset size?
You will need to measure (in millimetres) the inside diameter (ID) of the top of the head tube (above pic) and the bottom of the head tube (pic below). Measurements are rounded to the nearest millimetre. Example: a tapered frame with a 44mm upper ID and a 56mm lower ID.
