What size tire is 700X23c?
As I mentioned, 700X23c means a bicycle tire or wheel has a nominal diameter of 700m and a width of 23mm. I’ve used the word nominal because a 700c tire has a deflated diameter of 668mm. Note that all road bikes and cyclocross two-wheels come with 700c wheels, which are mostly 29 inches.

On a ‘700c’ wheel, you can have a range of different widths. 23mm wide tires have been the standard for most road cycling over the past couple decades. You might see a 700x20c, or a 700x25c. On a cyclocross bike or 29-inch mountain bike, you could see tires as wide as 700x35c or 700x58c.
What does 700C x 23C mean?
700x23c simply means the dimensions of your bike tire, under what’s known as the ‘French system’. The first number, 700, refers to the nominal diameter of the bike tire and is measured using millimeters. The second number, 23, is actually the width of the bike tire, again it’s measured in millimeters.
Will 700x28C fit 700x23C?
A: 700x23C & 700x28C are the same tire sizes (diameter). The 23 & 28 denote different tire widths, not tire diameter. Both of these will fit the same diameter rim (700). However the 23c usually is installed on 19mm to 23mm wide rims.
What is the difference between 700×23 and 700x23C?
There is no difference. 700×23 and 700x23c are just the sizing for the bike tire.
What’s the difference between 700x23C and 700x25c?
Subject: RE: Difference between 700×23 and 700×25 tires? There is very little difference between most 700×23 and 700×25 tires. Some manfacturers tires tend to run a little small in some models (my latest continentai 23’s are actually more like 20’s) If your bike came with 23’s you can run 25’s with no worries.
